A supercar showroom where you recolour the car right on the photo

ORIEL GT-01 is a fictional electric grand tourer. We built a showroom site for it to show what a page for an expensive product can look like: images that feel like an advertising shoot, and a configurator that works on photographs, not on a 3D model.

The challenge

With an expensive product, people want to look closely: close-ups, light, reflections, and then build their own version. That usually takes a photo shoot and a 3D model. We tested whether AI-generated images and in-browser graphics could do the job instead.

What we built

  • The showroom images were created with AI and finished by hand: wide shot, cabin, wheels, rear, night scene
  • Short videos made from those images: the car comes to life as you scroll
  • A configurator on the photo: a WebGL2 shader recolours the body using a paint mask, swaps the wheels and caliper colour, and switches on the headlights and a night studio
  • The wheel design from the close-up is carried into the wide shot and the reflections, so the images match to the pixel
  • Smooth performance on an ordinary laptop and on a phone

What this could do for your product

  • Buyers build their own version and arrive at the enquiry with a choice already made
  • No expensive 3D model needed: the configurator works on photographs
  • The page looks like an ad campaign but opens like an ordinary website

A static page with no build step; the recolouring is our own WebGL2 shader; images made with ChatGPT, video with Kling; fonts and graphics load from the same server.
