Online school: teacher, student and manager in one system
Smart Study helps applicants get into Slovak universities and has launched language courses. The school needed a system that matched its own contract with students, and off-the-shelf platforms did not.

The challenge
The school’s contract sets specific rules: group size, attendance records, materials, tests and marks. Managing this in spreadsheets would have meant errors and disputes, and off-the-shelf platforms could not link a student’s studies to their enquiry and contract in the CRM.
What we built
- A teacher portal: groups, timetable, attendance register, handing out materials, tests and marks
- A “Language courses” tab in the student portal: timetable, materials, test results
- A “School” section in the CRM for the manager: group membership, student progress, a link to the enquiry and the contract
- The contract rules are built into the system: groups of 4–8 students, attendance, the lesson calendar
- The teacher portal is closed off from the public internet: access is only through a secure connection
What it delivered
- Teacher, student and manager all see the same data, with no spreadsheets sent back and forth
- The contract terms are enforced by the system, not by a manager’s memory
- The school was added to the existing CRM as a section, not as yet another service with a separate sign-in
